Description
18" (46 cm.) A beautifully styled desk made with the hand of a fine cabinetmaker, featuring dove-tailed construction of drawers and finely executed inlay designs. Of rich cherry or walnut with maple interior and columns, the desk features a steepled crest, and nicely shaped legs and apron, roll-top front of one- piece curved wood, interior drawer with star-shaped and garland inlay, and various pencil-stripe inlays on the exterior. There is a cupboard top with opening doors and two lower drawers, each with carved bone knob (one tip missing). Excellent condition. Circa 1850.
