5" (13 cm.) Paper mache doll with elongated throat and black sculpted hair waved low around the sides of face and into a loosely coiled bun at the back of the head has painted facial features, all-wooden body with articulated joints, and is wearing a well-detail gown made of colorful applied shells. The doll is posed on her original base. Condition: good, old reglue at neck, original finish. Comments: circa 1840.
