Description

7" (18 cm.) Standing upon a simple metal wheeled platform is a brown-complexioned man with embossed and painted fancy costume comprising orange jacket, yellow vest and shirt, pale blue pants. He holds a Polichinelle toy in his right hand and a baton in his left. When wound, he moves forward on wheels, alternately lifting the Polichinelle which is jointed at the hips and pivots from side to side, and the baton. The rare early toy with an amusing theme functions well, has original paint with flakes on arms and one spot on vest. Circa 1885.
