14" (36 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with long black sculpted hair in long finger curls low onto the back shoulders, sculpted ears, painted facial features, muslin body with tiny waist. Condition: generally excellent, original finish is well preserved. Comments: Germany, circa 1850, the early doll with rare coiffure wears a lovely antique gown of re-embroidered tulle, undergarments.
