4" (10 cm.) 4"h. teapot. Of creamy softpaste with purple lustre edging and finial, the child-sized tea set features black transfer patterns depicting two different scenes; in one scene a father and son play tug-of-war in a garden setting, while the other scene portrays a garden tea party. The set comprises a lidded teapot, sugar, creamer, and three cups and saucers. Excellent condition, sugar bowl darkened. Marked "Sewell". English, mid-19th century.
