Description

6" (15 cm.) 6" seated. A bisque-headed doll with blue glass eyes, open mouth, and blonde mohair wig is attached to unusual body, posed seated, with composition arms, and legs bent at knees, a simple mechanical device hidden under the costume that, when wound, causes the doll to lean forward and backward, while rolling forward and sideways as though scooting along in playful movement. Condition: generally excellent, mechanism functions well. Comments: Germany, head by Simon and Halbig, circa 1900.
