Description
5" (13 cm.) 5"diam. dinner plate. Of white soft paste with unusual mauve or lavender transfer floral and garland decorations, the service comprises two lidded tureens with underplates and ladle cut-outs, large square covered serving dish, two oval vegetable dishes, boat-shaped oval bowl, square bowl, gravy boat and six dinner plates. Condition: very good, few darkened, few minor rubs or flakes. Marks: Davenport (and anchor impressed mark). Comments: Davenport, English, circa 1870, an unusual color of decoration.
