9" (23 cm.) A paper mache clown with painted striped suit, blue cap and beaming smile visage and a paper mache monkey with painted acrobat costume, are clinging to each other with hinged wooden arms, each with hinged wooden legs. The loosely jointed limbs allows the figures to be articulated in an infinite manner, when dangled from a pull string that attaches to original elbow holes. Excellent condition, superb quality of facial modeling and painting. Circa 1885.
