Description
10" (25 cm.) Layered glass slides that portray a figure arising from a fountain, with swirling designs all around, are framed in brass, and arranged on a wooden base with connecting strings, and a brass handle with wooden tip. An original paper label reads "The Chromatrope Artificial Fireworks, Carpenter and Westley, 24 Regent Street London" and the name E.W.A. Clarke is penciled on the side of the base on a small paper label. Carpenter and Westley, circa 1850. Frame, glass and mechanism are excellent, however the image does not change or dissolve.
