Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition fully-jointed body, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 21 (head) (original partial Steiner paper label on body). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1888. Value Points: outstanding quality of bisque and painting, fine state of preservation and very rare grand size indicate the doll's likely original creation as an exhibition model.
