Description
8" (20 cm.) 8" Maggie. Each of four characters has composition head with highly characterized features, metal ball-bearing body, composition hands and feet, and wears original flannel costume. Condition: good to excellent, Peter's nose is rubbed, some costume dust. Comments: Bucherer, the Swiss clockmaker created a series of figures, circa 1920's,with unique metal ball-bearing bodies. Included here is Maggie, Popeye's Bluto and two characters from a rare Danish cartoon, Peter and Ping, popular from 1922-1949.
