Description
23" (58 cm.) All-wooden doll has one-piece head and torso, painted brown hair and facial features, crudely dowel and pin jointed at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, extra swivel jointing in lower arms. Condition: well-loved, finish appears original yet varnished, paint flaking and wear on face and arms. Comments: folk art doll, clumsily yet charmingly created with imaginative details, the doll has its original cotton costume. Circa 1890.
