Description
5" x 5.5" box. 7" assembled figure. A heavy card-paper waist-up figure of a headless woman is attached to hidden wooden frame with lead-weighted swinging support for various heads that can be attached and allowing a "nodding" movement. Included are 7 different heads (some original, others hand-cut or hand-colored) and 13 different headwear changes. The original box is labeled in three languages "The Comic Girl, amusement with a swinging figure in many forms" and has an engraving of a woman demonstrating the game to five children. Contents very good, box worn.
