Description
8.5" (22 cm.) Solid domed paper-mache shoulder head with black painted pate, painted facial features, muslin upper torso, wooden lower arms and legs, wearing original cotton gown under which are hidden a "skirt" of 64 folded paper fortunes, muslin turban. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: circa 1850, the paper fortunes are written in old Danish script.
