Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mohair lashes, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, auburn mohair wig, original commercial muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 377 7 (and six-pointed star enclosing letter K). Comments: C.F. Kling, circa 1885. Value Points: very expressive model with rare markings, original body, and wonderfully preserved original costume with rich embroidery. Private collection Merle Glickman.
