18" (46 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with blonde sculpted hair waved in soft curls behind the ears, a modeled blonde hair bow and beading across the crown and ribbon trimmed ringlet curls at the back, pierced ears, painted facial features, modeled necklace and Iron Cross, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower arms, antique cotton day dress, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, arms mis-matched, tiny paint flake on hair. Marks: 8. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, an unusual variation of the sought-after model, with undecorated jewelry and hair ornaments, very gleaming original patina of complexion.
