14" (36 cm.) A wooden platform with paper lithographed cover and metal spoked wheels presents a paper mache clown with painted features, clown costume, wooden arms and legs, and a china head doll seated upon a flannel-covered dappled wooden horse and harness and saddle. When the toy is pulled along, the clown moves his arms up and down as though chasing the horse, and the horse rocks back and forth. Very good condition, a bit dusty, and wear to paper. Germany, Zinner and Sohn, circa 1895.
