Description
9.5" (24 cm.) 11" x 8" base, 9.5" larger doll. Posed upon a wooden stage with fabric covering to suggest a carpet are three bisque-head dolls, each with glass eyes and mohair wig, wooden limbs. When handwound at the side, the two larger dolls play the violins they hold, while the smaller doll twirls around and around as though dancing, while music plays. Condition: bisque heads excellent, mechanism functions well, costumes not original and very dusty. Comments: in the manner of Zinner and Sohn, circa 1895.
