23" (58 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady with very elongated elegant throat, black hair waved from face with detailed stippling, two long curls at throat sides, the back captured in a modeled snood with decorative tassels, sculpted black bow at crest, painted facial features, muslin stitch-jointed body with old porcelain limbs, lovely antique gown and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, few paint rubs on hair. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, the portrait expression enhanced by beautifully shaped nose.
