An album with marbled-paper covers and leather spine is inscribed in a fine hand on the title page "These poems and pictures were collected by Miss Hushope for the amusement of children" and included within are more then 150 pages laboriously filled with hand-written English language poems along with exquisite engravings, some hand-tinted, others with embossing or gilded borders, that were carefully chosen to illustrate the poem. Excellent condition. Circa 1840.
