Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rich rosy eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, open mouth, outlined shaded lips, two rows of tiny porcelain teeth, dimpled chin, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig over Steiner pate, French composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre B 15 (head) (Steiner label on body) Au Nain Bleu Paris (paper label on body). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1888, the bebe was sold by the Parisian luxury doll shop of Au Nain Bleu. Value Points: hard-to-find model with very beautiful painting of blush, original wig, original labeled body, antique dress and bonnet which appear as couturier models from Au Nain Bleu studio.
