Description
23" (58 cm.) Thick paste hand-pressed porcelain shoulder head with oval face and elongated throat, brown sculpted hair loosely waved over the ears and gathered into a braided coil at the back of her head, held by a wide hair band, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms with stitched and separated fingers, antique gown, undergarments, shoes. Condition: generally excellent, paint ding on nose tip. Marks: KPM (below blue sceptre stamp) KPM (below a red circle). Comments: KPM, circa 1840, a fine large size with luminous complexion .
