Description
18" (46 cm.) Each has paper mache head with painted facial features, sculpted eye sockets, gentle smiling expression, muslin body with paper mache lower arms, wooden lower legs. Condition: boy has split at right seam and piece missing just at the hat rim, and one finger tip missing, girl has missing thumb. Comments: Chinese, circa 1900, the dolls retain fine original finish, wear superb antique silk embroidered costumes, decorated slippers, and elaborate head pieces.
