15" (38 cm.) Pale bisque shoulder head with slender face, elongated throat, brown sculpted hair waved across the top of head, the sides brushed backward in full waves that cascade into ringlet curls at each side of the throat and are captured pageboy style in a black painted snood at the back of the head; the snood is decorated with a gold band, white ribbon and four white tassels, painted facial features with distinctly upper glancing eyes, defined eye sockets, throat hollow and bosom, muslin straight-limbed body, kid arms, antique gown and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, very rare model with exceptional decorations and compelling presence.
