Description
8" x 9" engraving. An early delicately colored engraving titled "Le Chien Solliciteur" portrays a dog begging for a cookie from its young mistress, original frame and backing; along with two early stenciled tole trays, one with cottage scene in the background (some fading of black japanned paint) and the smaller with a painted bird on a branch of red berries. Very good/excellent condition. Circa 1840/1860.
