12" (30 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted facial features,closed mouth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid gusset-jointed fashion body, wearing red silk gown with black lace trim, bonnet, undergarments, tiny leather shoes. Condition: bisque excellent, body original albeit a bit weak. Marks: B 0 S. (head) Alph. Giroux 43 Boulv. des Capucines Paris (body). Comments: Blampoix, circa 1865, the petite poupee was sold by the luxury Paris store of Giroux.
