The heavy wooden framed house has a narrow sloping roof with extended-height roof line at each side of house with block chimney atop each, original cream paint with reddish/brown trim and dark green roof. The house features outset windows at either side of the front, that extend through both floors and terminate in a high peaked arch in front of the roof. Each front window area is three-sided with wide sills for flower pots, and there is a glass-windows front door with steepled portico. At the front of the house is a removable matching garden with faux shrubs whose fence features a swinging lattice gate. The interior features four uniform sized rooms with a center staircase and hall, each room with a built in fireplace with faux fire. The wall and floor papers are old, and partially original, There is a mirror and hall rack in the front hall. The house, from the collection of Estrid Faurholt, was featured as one of a ãstreet of houses' in the 1965 edition of Jacob's History of Dollhouses. There are heavy cast iron handles at each side of the house for carrying. English, circa 1880.
