13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated face and very plump cheeks, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden body with eight-loose-ball-jointing, flat-cut derriere, straight wrists, antique dress which is likely original, undergarments, socks, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sch (in shield) 000 (head) (and shield mark on bottom of the derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1882. Value Points: rare petite size with beautiful bisque and expression, original body and body finish.
