Early Cardboard Blue Room with Furnishings

11" (28 cm.) A heavy cardboard room with blue paper lined walls and paper-covered floor has two large curtained glass windows at the rear flanking a tall mirror. Furnishings include wooden upright piano, several pieces of Boulle-style wooden furnishings, tin fireplace with fire, hanging tin corner shelf with mirrors, soft metal cuckoo clock, little child's bed, and accessories such as fine quality porcelain lidded tureen, statue of crane, brass wall clock, lithograph of two children with a book, and a statue of a fisherman. Dolls include a black haired china man, and a small but very fine early bisque child with blonde sculpted hair. Fair condition, paper on floor not original. Circa 1865.
