Description

17" (43 cm.) 17"h x 12"w x 10" d. A wooden stable with natural finish features two horse stalls with hay rack and chains, and a a carriage stall; an attached inside wooden ladder leads to the second floor apartment with two open arched floor-to-ceiling window openings with fancy arched steepled frames that center a decoupage family crest, fronted by a full-width wooden balcony. There is a carved design at the top of the roof and a chimney with revolving windmill. The base of the stable extends forward serving as a base to display the paper mache gentleman with original wooden base, his various painting roosters and chickens with brightly painted feathers and wooden bases, and the rooster perched upon a basket of eggs (Lineol, German). Excellent condition, late 19th century.
