There is a large alcove at the rear of the parlor with a window that hinges open at the center, and its roof forming a garden area with wooden balustrade. There are 2 additional windows at the back, each with elaborately carved valance and nice old silk curtains. The wallpaper is a bit peeling, but old and may be original; there are two different paper lithographed floor patterns. Furnishings include 3 maroon velvet armchairs and 2 day beds, painted cardboard parlor stove, oak game table with chessboard top, heavy metal pedestal, and painted white wood bedroom set comprising dresser with mirror, nightstand with marble top, 2 chairs with woven seats and a towel bar. Accessories include ormolu telephone with bells, gilded soft metal magazine holder with old newspapers, soft metal hanging mirror, two-arm sconce with milk glass globes, silvered bird cage with bird, hanging tapestry, hanging chandelier, two nice lithographed paintings, and an early miniature photograph of old woman in silver frame with crown crest.
