9" (23 cm.) doll. The 7"h. wooden roll-top desk of strong proportions is decorated with wood-grained lithographed paper to suggest rich carving and various drawers and doors that are illusions, although the roll-top is actual. A coin slot at the front accesses to a large compartment at the back with locking key. Included is a bisque shoulder head doll portraying a gentleman with brown sculpted hair beneath a tall black hat, painted facial features, muslin body, bisque lower limbs, antique costume. Excellent condition of doll and desk. Germany, circa 1890.
