10"h. x 20"w. x 14"d. A stage-like wooden setting with rear glass double window, and original paper and floor paper depicts a school room, with four double school desks with attached benches, teacher's desk with lift-up table top, inkwell and bell, 2 blackboards, heating stove and coal bucket. Other accessories include 5 school bags and hats hanging on the wall hooks, tin clock, lithographed wall maps, abacus, tin globe on wooden pedestal, and workbooks for each student. There is a bisque head teacher with modeled hair, and 8 all-bisque dolls with jointed limbs, 2 having painted eyes and 6 with glass eyes, in antique school costumes. Circa 1900.
