Description
4" (10 cm.) Carved wooden head and torso, painted black hair with Tuck comb decoration, painted facial features, wooden arms with dowel jointing at shoulder and elbows. Condition: very good, original paint albeit scuffed at comb. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1830,the doll has original wooden spool lower body that is covered by red and black wool felt gown decorated the beads; the sewing accessory doll was used to hold thread beneath the skirt, while the skirt could be used as a pin or needle cushion.
