17" (43 cm.) Wax over paper mache shoulder head with rounded facial shape, brown glass sleep eyes, painted facial features, closed mouth, blonde mohair fleeced wig in tight curls, original muslin body with paper mache limbs, painted white stockings and mauve ankle boots with maroon upper stripes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1885, fine unplayed with condition with sweet expression, fabulous antique black velvet and maroon silk fashion gown (silk blown on sash) with lace trim, matching bonnet, watch, fob and beaded bracelet.
