Description

9.5" (24 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead doll with black sculpted hair in loosely waved pageboy curls decorated with garlands of black beads, painted facial features, muslin body, porcelain lower limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: the doll is attached to an original maple wood pedestal and wears her original costume decorated with card symbols; hidden beneath the skirt of her gown are several hundred folded paper "fortunes" with hand-written ink script messages in French.
