Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of bald-faced elderly man with incised wrinkles and gaunt cheeks, grey tinted stubble of sideburns and beard, enamel eyes, closed mouth, tow-wrapped armature posable body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and black shoes, wearing original costume of gentleman hiker comprising embroidered jacket and vest, pants, green felt cap with feathered accent and carrying pipe. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
