Description
9" (23 cm.) Each doll has composition socket head, painted side-glancing eyes gazing at each other, painted facial features, bow-shaped closed mouth, five piece composition body. Condition: generally excellent, Martha's gown a bit faded. Marks: Effanbee Patsyette Doll. Comments: Effanbee, circa 1936, the dolls were costumed by Effanbee for a special celebration of Washington's 200 birthday, and produced for a very limited period only. Value Points: each doll has its original white mohair wig and original factory costume depicting George and Martha Washington, original celluloid pins.
