Description
7 1/2" (19 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulderhead, black sculpted hair in short swirling curls around the forehead, painted blue eyes with black outline, single-stroke brows, tiny nose with nostril accents, tiny closed mouth, firmly-stuffed kid poupee body with shapely torso, wearing original muslin shift and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1865, similar dolls from the early Gaultier porcelain firm exist with F.G. markings. Value Points: very rare tiny poupee with original sturdy shapely body, most endearing expression.
