Description
18" (46 cm.) Wax over paper mache shoulder head with blonde sculpted hair waved away from face into short pageboy curls held by black hair band, sculpted ears, black enamel eyes, feathered brows, closed mouth with center accent line between the lips, muslin stitch-jointed body, wooden lower limbs, painted white stockings and brown shoes with yellow edging. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1880. Value Points: near pristine original condition of the early doll with lovely wax patina on face and hair, original body, original muslin gown, undergarments, glass beaded jewelry.
