Description
13" (33 cm.) Each of five dolls is of firmly stuffed muslin with center-seamed face in character sculpting with painted facial features, mohair wigs, muslin body, and having original sewn on costume to represent various regions or occupations. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Ludecke Volkskinst, 683 Schwetzingen, Schillerster (label on doll marked Ilse) (each doll has name written on base). Comments: Germany, circa 1925. Value Points: interesting set of character cloth dolls bearing maker's label.
