26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, "dot" painted lashes, thickly fringed brows with feathered highlights, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, French composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Figure A No. 18 J Steiner Bte SGDG Paris (head) (original paper label on torso). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1888. Value Points: very beautiful luminous bisque with delicately tinted complexion, deeply defined features includes dimples at chin and above the upper lip, original body and body finish, lovely antique costume includes leather shoes signed D.D.
