18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, brown glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, accented lips, four teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, commercial kid body, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1079 Halbig S&H Germany 6. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: pristine original condition of the swivel- head doll, wearing elaborate traditional costume of Switzerland with decorative silver chairs, rose sateen apron, tightly fitted vest with pleated bodice.
