12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, open mouth, accented lips, four teeth, on padded armature body with bisque hands, standing upon a velvet covered candy box. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Masson Paris (candy box). G.K. 44.46 (doll). Comments: for the French market, circa 1895. Value Points: delightful candy container doll, with unusually fine bisque and expression for this type of novelty, wearing original blue woolen sailor costume.
