Solid domed paper mache shoulder head with painted facial features, blue eyes, black upper eye liner and brows, closed mouth, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over painted pate, pink muslin poupee body with shapely waist. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1850. Value Points: extraordinary original pristine condition, the doll wears her lavishly embellished traditional folklore costume of Brittany with rich beading, velvet ribbons, silver metallic braids, exceptional coiffe, gold-plated jewelry, and in rare petite size.
