38" (97 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, richly brush stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, open mouth with shaded lips, row of porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, small touch-up at left eye rim. Marks: 17. Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1895. Value Points: exceptionally large size is rarely found, the doll has lovely creamy bisque, original Jumeau body, and wears a very fine antique dress, bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes.
