14" (36 cm.) All-composition doll portraying an adult man, socket head with sharply defined features, strong nose and jaw, painted facial features, blue eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with stern expression, blonde human hair in side-part, five piece composition body with muscular torso and limbs, wearing original belted swimsuit. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: designed by Dewees Cochran for Effanbee, 1938; it is recorded that 48 dolls were made although the model was never put into general production. Value Points: very rare portrait model of adult man, well-preserved, along with vintage studio photograph of the doll from its time of production.
