Bisque socket head, painted facial features, intaglio pale blue eyes with large black pupils, black upper eyeliner, short-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with beaded teeth between the outlined lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, mariner costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Made in Germany A 4 M 7. Comments: Marseille, circa 1910, from their rare art character series with intaglio painted eyes. Value Points: wonderfully expressive features on the rare doll with especially fine sculpting around the eyes and mouth.
