Description
20" (51 cm.) All cloth doll with pressed and oil painted facial complexion, features and baby hair in shaded brown curls, painted closed eyes as though sleeping, painted lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pouty expression, blushed cheeks and ear lobes, cloth ring neck allowing the baby's head to nod realistically to the side, separately stitched arms, loosely attached legs, sewn belly button, wearing peach muslin dress, undergarments, knit stockings. Condition: generally excellent, fine original finish well preserved excepting one small dent in right cheek. Comments: Kathe Kruse, the model known as Type V,"Traumerchen", circa 1925. Value Points: rare model with beautiful sculpted and painted face and hair.
