16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulder head, blue glass sleep eyes with wire-lever sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, slightly parted lips, two square cut upper and two square cut lower teeth, blushed cheeks, mohair curly wig, taufling style body with muslin upper torso enclosing a bellows "mama" crier, paper mache lower torso, wooden lower arms and legs, loosely jointed ankles and wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: possibly Stier, circa 1860. Value Points: rarity factors include torso- operated wire lever eyes, bellows crier, rare body style, and original costume.
